With Pulsar it is possible to set the exact frequency of the tone which is presented. To validate the frequency of the tone that was presented, the audio output of Pulsar was recorded again. The audio was recorded at 44100Hz sampling rate. Each tone was 500ms long to allow for enough data points for the spectrum. Rise and fall times of the tone were set at 5ms. Two different tones were tested, one at 1000Hz and the second at 1050Hz. The spectra are shown below.
